Three days is the right length for Belitung: enough to see the history of East Belitung, spend a full day on the water, and enjoy Tanjung Pandan before you fly home. The itinerary below is the route we run for Classic Package guests.

Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: East Belitung and the Laskar Pelangi Trail

  1. Pickup at H.A.S. Hanandjoeddin Airport
  2. SD Muhammadiyah Gantung replica, the school that inspired the Laskar Pelangi novel
  3. Andrea Hirata Kata Museum, a collection of literary works and quotes
  4. Batik Ahok House and the Snail Shell Rattan House
  5. Beachside lunch with open sea views
  6. Vihara Dewi Kwan Im, one of the oldest Buddhist temples in East Belitung
  7. Pantai Burung Mandi, a quiet beach away from the usual tourist crowds
  8. Dinner in Tanjung Pandan

Day 2: Full-Day Island Hopping

  1. Set sail from Tanjung Kelayang harbor
  2. Pulau Pasir, Pulau Lengkuas, Pulau Kepayang, Batu Berlayar, Pulau Kelayang
  3. Lunch on Kepayang Island in the shade of the coastal trees
  4. Snorkeling and climbing the Pulau Lengkuas lighthouse, 18 floors built in 1882

Day 3: City Tour and Departure

Tips before you go

  • Book flights into H.A.S. Hanandjoeddin Airport (Tanjung Pandan). We pick you up at the airport on day one.
  • Pack swimwear, sunscreen, and a change of clothes for the day on the water. Snorkel sets are provided.
  • The island order can change for weather, tides, and safety. Pulau Pasir only surfaces at low tide.
