Pulau Lengkuas

A white iron lighthouse from 1882 that still lights up every night. It stands alone among house-sized granite boulders. The view from the top is the single most iconic sight in all of Belitung.

Tanjung Tinggi

Hundreds of giant granite boulders scattered across white sand, forming natural corridors and pools. The filming location for Laskar Pelangi and the best sunset spot in Belitung.

Tanjung Kelayang

The main gateway to Belitung's island hopping adventures. At its shore stands Batu Garuda, a granite formation shaped like a bird's head that serves as the mascot of the Belitung Geopark.

Danau Kaolin

A former kaolin mine filled with rainwater, now a bright turquoise lake. The chalk-white earth around it creates a contrast that makes this place look like a sci-fi film set.

Pulau Pasir

A white sandbar that only surfaces at low tide, twice a day. Large starfish are often left behind here. It feels like walking on water.

Pulau Batu Berlayar

Two giant granite slabs leaning in parallel atop a tiny rocky islet. Exactly like ship sails billowing in the wind. One of the most dramatic rock formations in Southeast Asia.

Pantai Burung Mandi

A calm, shallow beach in East Belitung. The water is so shallow you can walk 50 meters out and it still only reaches your waist. Right across the road stands the magnificent Kwan Im Temple.

Kopi Kong Djie Siburik

A legendary kopitiam open since the 1940s in Tanjung Pandan. The place where the whole city gathers every morning for strong robusta coffee and warm fried banana.

Museum Timah

A museum in a former Dutch colonial official's residence telling the story of Belitung's tin mining history. In the backyard stands an actual giant dredging ship that once operated on man-made lakes in the middle of the forest.

Rumah Batik Ahok

Basuki Tjahaja Purnama's childhood home in Gantung, now a batik gallery and workshop. The motifs are distinctly Belitung: simpor leaves, swamp lotus, and fishing boats.

Pulau Kepayang

The lunch stop on the island-hopping tour. Beachside seafood stalls serving fresh grilled fish, fried squid, and Padang-style crab. There is a wooden swing facing the sea.

Pulau Leebong

A quiet island in northern Belitung that few people visit. There is a natural lagoon, a boardwalk through mangrove forest, and a giant swing suspended above shallow seawater.

Wisata Kuliner Tanjung Pandan

When night falls, the Jalan Sriwijaya and central market area becomes an open-air food market. Mie Belitung, gangan soup, sauced crab, and Kong Djie coffee are all within walking distance.
