Bukit Peramun Geosite
Tropical forest growing between ancient granite boulders. There is a 100-meter canopy walk at 15 meters high, and a hiking trail to the summit with green views stretching as far as the eye can see.
Belitung is not just beaches. Bukit Peramun is proof. Here, old tropical trees grow from the cracks of giant granite boulders. Their roots wrap around the stone, moss covers the damp crevices. The atmosphere is different from the coast. What you hear here is not waves, but leaves brushing, birds calling, and sometimes the sound of small rocks falling from gravity and time.
The best part is the canopy walk. This 100-meter wooden bridge stretches between the treetops, about 15 meters above the ground. Walking on it feels like floating in a green ocean. Below you, the dark and damp forest floor. Around you, leaves and branches moving slowly in the wind. After the bridge, there is a short trail to the hilltop. From the summit, all you see is green and granite gray stretching to the horizon. No sea, no sand. From up here, Belitung feels much larger than you thought.
